Avoid Purchasing Delays & User Downtime

Replacing laptop batteries should be simple. But if you have to fill out purchase orders, obtain multiple levels of budget approval and locate a preferred battery vendor, it may not be.

That’s why Dell offers Extended Battery Service, a program that allows you to extend your battery coverage at the time of purchase, so you can obtain a replacement battery whenever you need it, without delay.

With Extended Battery Service you can:

  • More accurately plan your laptop lifecycle costs — By incorporating future replacement battery needs into your upfront purchase costs, you can reduce unplanned expenses.
  • Prevent delays and downtime — If a laptop battery fails, we’ll ship you a replacement battery at no extra charge. Your employee won’t need to wait for a new battery while your IT staff places a purchase order.
  • Get battery capacity when you need it— Keeping extra batteries on hand can be costly. And most Lithium Ion batteries lose capacity over time, even when they are not used, so a backup battery may not work when you need it most. With Extended Battery Service you’ll get a new battery exactly when you need it.
  • Ensure proper disposal of old batteries — We include prepaid shipping so you can return your old battery directly to us. We’ll dispose of your old battery in an environmentally safe way, and you won’t have to pay disposition costs.
