Built to be power- and thermal-output friendly, the Dell modular solution will be up and running in days instead of months. Compared to ISO containerized solutions, the Dell MDC provides important differentiators:

No restrictions fitting IT and supporting equipment inside a fixed 20' or 40' containerized data center.
Just the right amount of power or cooling for your workload based on your needs.
Expand to add power or space, whenever you need to, by simply adding more modules.
Flexible, modular design based on an optimized steel frame.

The modular design features include:

The IT module houses custom 54U racks in configurations of 15 or 20 per IT module.
The cooling module automatically adjusts the cooling to maintain the required temperature.
The power module supports redundant power inputs, uninterrupted power supplies (UPS) and battery subsystems for N, N+1, and 2N power availability.
Modules are shipped directly to you, starting with as few as one single loaded IT module and the related cooling unit. The two components are shipped together on a single 48' single-drop standard flatbed (dual axle). Special transit requirements are not generally required.
The monitoring and management IT modules, and cooling and power modules via Modbus TCP are managed by the Dell MDC programmable logic controller, via Modbus remote terminal unit or TCP, which interfaces with the infrastructure subsystems and communicates to the network operations center, or building management system.
