Trusted Platform Module (TPM) error after imaging.

A Venue 11 Pro 7140 user reported they encountered a BitLocker error that states: "The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) on this computer doesn’t work with the current BIOS. Contact the computer manufacturer for BIOS upgrade instructions."

This issue occurs if the system is imaged with a Legacy BIOS configuration.

NOTE: While it was reported on a Venue 11 Pro 7140, this issue may occur on any UEFI capable system.

Image system with UEFI BIOS configuration.

For systems requiring BitLocker functionality, the system must have the operating system image installed with the BIOS configured in the default Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) mode.

When the operating system is installed in the Legacy BIOS mode for legacy support, BitLocker functionality is not available.
