W-Series AP224 (external antenna) and W‑Series AP225 internal antennas are 802.11ac access points, supporting the new 5GHz industry standard for gigabit wireless data rates. These purpose‑built 3x3 MIMO 802.11ac access points are designed to deliver blazing fast performance that is up to three times higher than comparable 802.11n access points. Dual‑radio configurations enable flexible deployments:
• 5GHz: 3x3 MIMO for 802.11ac, delivering data rates up to 1.3Gbps
• 2.4GHz: 3x3 MIMO for 802.11n, delivering data rates up to 450Mbps

The AP224 and AP225 each include dual GbE ports to access wired backbones and are powered by Power-over-Ethernet 802.3at (PoE+) or an optional adapter.
