Product Configurations

Storage arrays supported
The FS8600 is supported with Dell Compellent Series 40 and SC8000 controllers. Storage Center Operating System versions 6.1.3 or later are supported.

Expansion capability
Each dual-controller FS8600 appliance can support up to two Compellent Storage Center arrays with the ability to add up to three more FS8600 appliances into the same namespace to improve file performance.

NAS appliance
One FS8600 appliance includes two controllers that operate in an active-active environment with cache mirroring between controller pairs.
Storage arrays supported
New or existing EqualLogic PS arrays with version 6.0 or later firmware

Expansion capability 
Up to 509TB usable file capacity per EqualLogic group. All file capacity can be in a single name space.Up to two FS7600 or FS7610 appliances in a single NAS cluster. All appliances in a NAS cluster in an EqualLogic Group must have either 1Gb or 10Gb connectivity.

NAS appliance
Each NAS appliance has dual active-active NAS controllers with cache mirroring and integrated backup power supply. Each controller contains 24GB auto-adaptive R/W RAM based cache and two quad core Intel Xeon E5620 processors.

Memory size
