La carte HBA Emulex LPe12002-E est un adaptateur HBA à double port. Elle fournit plus de ports et de meilleures performances aux serveurs disposant d'un nombre limité d'emplacements PCI pour les environnements de datacenter virtualisés, les applications d'information fondamentales et les applications à bande passante élevée (sauvegarde, réplication des données et implémentation de la récupération après sinistre). Elle doit ses performances exceptionnelles à sa capacité de tirer parti d'un seul circuit ASIC et d'associer une architecture matérielle unique lui permettant d'offrir une vitesse de bus plus élevée (PCIe 2.0), la rapidité Fibre Channel (8 Gbits/s), des temps de latence réduits (traitement plus rapide au niveau de la carte) et le déchargement de l'unité centrale (MSI-X).
