Setting Up Your Installation Service Appointment
Before your system arrives, you will be contacted to confirm your order and review details of this service. After you receive your new Dell computer, a third party technician will contact you to confirm that you have received your complete order, including other equipment you have purchased. During this call, you and the technician will schedule an installation service appointment Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 6:00pm. After hours appointments are available on weekdays 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am and 6:00pm.

Help taking your system out of its box, setting it up, and connecting up to 3 additional devices such as printers and scanners.
Help setting up dial-up access to the Internet or existing cable/DSL service.
Help setting-up an email account.
A basic orientation to your new computer including location of major system components and controls, orientation to your system desktop such as Windows Start Menu, icons.
Help transferring data files, documents, settings, favorites, etc. from your old PC to your new PC.
Help loading two applications on to your new computer.

How do I set up the Installation Service Appointment?
One business day after you purchase your computer, the installation provider will attempt to contact you to confirm your order, review details of the service, and schedule your installation appointment. During this call, you and the installation provider will schedule an installation service appointment. The day prior to your scheduled appointment, the installation provider will contact you to confirm that you have received your complete order and verify the appointment time.

What are the hours of operation for Installation?
All appointments are scheduled for the technician to arrive within a 2 hour window, Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 8:00pm, local time; Saturdays between 8:00am and 6:00pm; local time.

What comes with the Home PC Installation Service?

Basic set-up of your computer and connection of up to 3 external devices. Connection to your existing Internet Service Provider or to a new dial-up service 20 minute checklist driven orientation to your new computer

What comes with the Home PC Installation Service with plus File & Setting Transfer?

Basic set-up of your computer and connection of up to 3 external devices Connection to your Internet Service Provider 20 minute checklist driven orientation to your new computer Load up to two applications on new computer Transfer of up to 1GB of data/files (does not include transferring applications) from your old computer to your new computer Transfer of settings including Internet browser bookmarks, folder structure for transferred files and customizations, settings and preferences for most popular applications.
