2008

The Zachary Scott Theater in Austin, TX recognized the Dell Foundation for outstanding support and community partnership during their 75th Anniversary Gala and Concert.
Dell's Women in IT Executive Mentoring program in Australia won the national award Outstanding Initiative/Result for the Advancement of Women . Out of more than 7,500 companies across Australia, Dell was the only information technology company recognized.
Dell became the 14th member of the Billion Dollar Roundtable recognizing our achievement of spending of at least $1 billion with minority and woman-owned suppliers.
Calvert Investments released the results of their survey "Examining the Cracks in the Ceiling: A Survey of Corporate Diversity Practices in the Calvert Social Index^® " and denoted Dell as a Diversity Ratings Leader .
The Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and Reputation Institute included Dell in a new ranking of the top 50 companies in the United States that the public distinguishes for corporate social responsibility.
The Texas Diversity Council presented Dell the DiversityFirst Award for recognition of a Texas corporation that “demonstrates an attitude toward and respect for, a truly inclusive environment where individuals are valued for their talent and able to reach their full potential.”
Working Mother magazine named Dell to its 2008 100 Best Companies list. The magazine evaluates companies in seven areas: workforce profile, compensation, child care, flexibility, time off and leaves, family-friendly programs and company culture.
Hispanic Engineer Magazine named Dell to its list of 2008 Most Admired Companies for Hispanics .
US Black Engineer Magazine named Dell to its list of 2008 Most Admired Companies for Blacks .
Women of Color Conference Magazine named Dell to its list of 2008 Best Places for Women of Color to Work .
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation's largest advocacy group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans, has awarded a 100% score to Dell on the Corporate Equality Index and Best Places to Work Survey. This is the fifth year in a row Dell has received a 100% score.
Dell was named as a Readers' Choice Best Diversity Company by the readers of Diversity/Careers in Engineering & Information Technology magazine.
Dell was recognized with the Best Family Friendly Award by the Slovak Minister of Labor and Social Affairs for Dell's efforts to facilitate work-life balance. This prize is the most significant recognition of its kind in Slovakia.
Marie Moynihan, director of human resources for Dell EMEA, was awarded IMAGE Professional Woman of the Year Award . These awards honor and recognize the outstanding achievements of business women. IMAGE is the number one magazine for women in Ireland.
Kate Bishop, director of human resources for Dell EMEA, named as the Best Female Mentor 2008 in the Blackberry Technology Awards for Women for her work in training to help women advance their careers.
DiversityInc. named Dell to the DiversityInc. Top 10 Companies for Supplier Diversity in 2008.
Dell France has been certified by Afaq Afnor (an international standardization and certification organization) on Equality Label and is the first IT company in France to receive this certification.
Dell ranked #2 by DiversityBusiness.com in its annual survey of Top 50 Companies for Multicultural Business Opportunities. For the second year in a row, Dell is the highest ranked technology company on the list.
Dell received the “Corporate Rising Star” award from the Women’s Business Council Southwest for our commitment to supplier diversity and strategy to develop these companies as part of our supply chain.

2007

Working Mother magazine named Dell as one of the Top 20 “Best Green” companies in the United States. Working Mother recognized the companies on the list for “demonstrated inspiring innovation—from the ingredients and creative packaging they use to how they build their facilities and run their manufacturing plants….companies whose progressive thinking, inventive policies and pioneering spirit are helping to make the world a greener, cleaner place for our children.”
Dell was recognized by the readers of Diversity/Careers in Engineering and Information Technology as a Best Diversity Company for the company's support of minorities and women, attention to work/life balance and commitment to supplier diversity.
Dell was once again listed in Latin Business Magazine's 4th Annual Corporate Diversity Honor Roll recognizing those U.S. companies that are doing the most on behalf of the nation's minority communities, particularly Hispanics.

Fortune magazine in 2005 named Dell as America's "Most Admired" Company and No. 3 worldwide.

Dell was named in 2005 to the list of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens by Business Ethics magazine.
Dell was named in 2005 to the List of 100 Most Desirable MBA Employers by Fortune magazine.
Michael Dell in 2004 received the Frederick D. Patterson Award from the United Negro College Fund.
