Challenge

Die Migration der insgesamt sechs physikalischen Domain Controler (zwei pro Domain) auf nunmehr zwei VMware ESX-Server.

Solution

Die Virtual Machine Software VMware ESX, eingesetzt auf zwei Dell PowerEdge^TM 2850- Servern, ermöglicht DE-Consult eine bessere Nutzung vorhandener Ressourcen und ein effizienteres Servermanagement.

Benefit

Der Administrationsaufwand wurde reduziert. Die Konsolidierung und Virtualisierung nutzt Hardwareressourcen besser aus. Zudem senkt die Kombination aus standardisierten Servern und Virtualisierungssoftware die laufenden Betriebskosten.
