Through the Dell Internship Program, we provide top-caliber students with an opportunity to develop real-world skills in an environment that encourages personal and professional growth. You’ll gain exposure. You’ll gain experience. You’ll learn the ins and outs of one of the high-tech industry's most innovative leaders. And when you’re finished, you may be offered a full-time position at Dell.
Below are all the details on how the program works.
Requirements
In order to be considered for an internship position at Dell, a student must meet the following requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, academic program at an accredited college or university with at least one semester of school remaining before graduation
- Maintain a good academic standing
- Pursue a field of study that is consistent with Dell's needs for Intern assignments
- Requirements specific to MBAs or Undergrads/Masters may also apply

Our Internship Program is only offered during the summer months and lasts from 10 to 12 weeks. Internships are available for first-year MBAs and first-year Masters and Undergraduates with a sophomore or junior ranking. Opportunities are available in U.S locations including, Austin, TX, Nashville, TN, Westchester, OH, Reno, NV, and Winston-Salem, NC. Additional opportunities may be available in Latin America and Canada.

In order to provide you with the best summer experience, we offer the following benefits to our Interns:
- Travel expenses are re-reimbursed for travel to and from the Dell internship location.
- Fully furnished corporate apartment with two-bedrooms, two-baths, washers and dryers and housekeeping service every other week. Housing is based on a roommate plan unless a family plan is needed.

What type of work will I be doing when I accept an internship with Dell?
Interns share the same job responsibilities as full-time employees. You’ll be given real work with business related problems to solve. As an intern, you’ll be continually working with full-time employees to accomplish the goals outlined in your performance plan.Will I work in a number of groups during my internship, or focus on a specific project in one group?
We want you to become very involved with your project, so we ask that you commit to a specific group during your internship. It’s the best way to ensure you have the opportunity to make a real contribution on your team.
How long do internships last?
Internships at Dell last approximately 10-12 weeks.
What time of year are internships offered?
Internships are offered in the summer months (May – August).
Are there locations outside of Austin, Texas where I could do an internship?
At this time, Nashville, Tennessee, Westchester, Ohio, Winston Salem, North Carolina, and Reno, Nevada are offering internship positions. Additional opportunities may be available in Latin America and Canada.
Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to apply for an internship in the United States?
We’ll interview all qualified candidates currently enrolled in U.S. universities regardless of citizenship or visa status.
