Important Safety Information About Your Dell Latitude LM AC Adapter
Dear Valued Dell Customer:
Dell Computer Corporation is voluntarily recalling certain AC adapters supplied with DellTM LatitudeTM LM notebook computers and Dell Latitude LM Port Replicators.
Dell has determined that certain AC adapters used with the Latitude LM notebook computer and Latitude LM Port Replicator contain connector pins that may break off when the AC adapter is disconnected from the AC power cord. Although unlikely, a broken connector pin may remain lodged and exposed in the AC adapter power cord. If the power cord is still plugged into the wall outlet, there is a risk of serious electric shock if the exposed pins are touched.
The Latitude LM notebook computer and Latitude LM Port Replicator are not affected by this recall. No other Dell products are affected by this recall.
Although Dell is not aware of any injuries pertaining to this situation, the company is implementing this voluntary recall of the AC adapter to help prevent the possibility of injury.
To identify AC adapters subject to this recall, locate the part number on the white bar-code label on the bottom of the AC adapter.
