PBX/PSTN Intergration

Simplify IT and help reduce costs by augmenting your existing analog telephony environment with a standards-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution—the heart of all things in a Unified Communications environment. UC solutions from Dell and Microsoft seamlessly integrate with most existing PBX and IT systems, allowing you to take advantage of enhanced functionality:

  • VoIP enable your existing PBX
  • Use VoIP and least cost routing to lower long distance changes
  • Switching conversations on the fly from your PC to Phone
  • Host your own dial-in conference bridge to reduce third-part service charges
  • Creating simple call-routing rules with Automated Call Distribution (ACD)
  • If you are an executive assistant or receptionist, answer and route calls on behalf of other employees with Communicator Attendant Console
  • Connect directly to the public telephone system by deploying SIP Trunk capable Dell PowerEdge servers running Office Communications Server 2007 R2 Learn More

PBX Integration is designed for customers who are looking to interface their UC VoIP solution with existing in-house telephony systems, or need to replace older, internal PBX telephones.

The SIP trunking capability of Office Communications Server (OCS) 2007 Release 2 (R2) allows for direct connections between servers running OCS 2007 R2 and the public telephone system (PSTN). SIP trunking offers enterprises the ability to eliminate the need for costly ISDN access interfaces, like BRIs (Basic Rate Interfaces) or PRIs (Primary Rate Interfaces).

Dell offers UC functionality delivered as incremental modules. Deploy only what you need, when you need it.

  • Modules can be deployed independently
  • Modules provide hardware, software, infrastructure consulting as well as lifecycle support services
  • Easily expand your UC infrastructure when the time comes
  • A simplified management infrastructure

Simply Put

Because Dell UC is based on standardized hardware, storage, applications, and operating systems, you can reduce implementation complexity, cost, and time.
