| A | Almost immediately! Once you register for the program through Commission Junction and agree to Dell's program's terms and conditions, it usually takes about an hour for the links to be activated. As soon as your program information is processed by Commission Junction and the proper sales tracking is in place, you will be able to access the code for Dell banners and text links, post them to your site, and begin making money from your site. |
| Q | What do I do if the banners or text links are not working after I post the code to my site? |
| A | Dell maintains a strict quality control process for the Affiliates Program in order to help minimize the potential for technical problems. However, due to the complexity of the tracking system, technical difficulties may arise from time to time. Commission Junction's support team can guide you through the process of creating and maintaining links. |
| Q | Can I place Dell Home links or banners anywhere on my site? |
| A | Absolutely. Because you understand your customers and their needs, we give you flexibility on placement of the Dell links. Of course, an optimal placement on your site can increase your chances for click-throughs and sales - resulting in more referral fees to you. You can also help improve your opportunity for increased sales by placing Dell banners, logos, or links in different places throughout your site. Often, a text link in conjunction with a banner ad will improve the click-through rate. Remember that you may only use text links, logos, banners, and product images provided to you through Commission Junction. |
| Q | How often will new banners become available? |
| A | We offer a selection of banners that feature current promotions for notebooks, desktops and electronics & accessories. These promo banners will update automatically; just copy and paste the code from Commission Junction. You can also select new banners when they become available and as often as you like through your Commission Junction account. |
| Q | Do international sales qualify for the referral fee? |
| A | As described in the "qualifying sales" section of the Dell Home Affiliate Agreement, sales must be completed online at Dell Home & Home Office in order to qualify for the referral fee. However, sales through the online store are limited to US residents only. Orders and sales outside of the US must be made through one of our local country websites or by phone.
