Q. What is a Promotional Dell Gift Card?

A. The Promotional Dell Gift Card is not a credit card - it is a preloaded gift card that has a set dollar value that is printed on the front of the Card. It can be used to purchase merchandise and services from Dell at our website or by phone as indicated on the materials accompanying the Card. The total dollar amount of purchases made with the Card will be automatically deducted from the value of the Card. Once the amount available on the Card has been exhausted, any future transactions will be declined. Transactions that exceed the remaining Card balance will also be declined. Please read the question below on "combining forms of payment" to make a purchase that exceeds the funds available on the Card.

Q. Is the Promotional Dell Gift Card a credit card?

A. No, the Promotional Dell Gift Card is a preloaded gift card that has a set dollar value that is printed on the front of the Card. The Promotional Dell Gift Card is not a credit card and cannot be used as one.

Q. Where can the Promotional Dell Gift Card be used?

A. The Promotional Dell Gift Card can be used at Dell online or by phone at the website and phone number on the back of the card. The Card may only be redeemed in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia for purchases from the business unit at Dell (e.g., Dell Home and Home Office, Dell Small, Medium or Large Business; Dell Government, Education or Healthcare; or the Dell Member Purchase Program) from which the Card was originally issued as indicated on the front of the Card.

Q. Where is the Promotional Dell Gift Card not valid?

A. The Card is not accepted for Dell Preferred Account payments and cannot be used to purchase other Promotional Dell Gift Cards or used at any non-Dell establishments.

Q. Does the Promotional Dell Gift Card have an expiration date?

A. Yes. Please use your Card promptly. Promotional Gift Cards have an expiration date of one year. Cards and funds expire on the last day of the month printed on the Card. After that date, the Promotional Gift Cards will not be accepted, subject to applicable law.

Q. What if the Promotional Dell Gift Card is lost or stolen?

A. Call our toll-free Customer Service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at 1-866-268-8390 as soon as possible so we can cancel the Card. Please record the Card number and four digit security number and keep it in a safe place. We will not be able to replace Promotional Dell Gift Cards without those numbers. You will need the Card numbers for identification purposes, and we may also ask you for other identifying information. After the Card is cancelled, we will send you a new Card good for the amount remaining on the lost or stolen Card at of the time you notify us. The first replacement card will be free but there is a $10.00 replacement fee for any additional replacements. Note: It is critical to notify us as soon as possible if a Card is lost or stolen. Funds debited from a lost/stolen Card prior to our receipt of your notification CANNOT be replaced.

Q. Can value be added to the Promotional Dell Gift Card?

A. No. Once the value of the Card has been depleted, the Card is no longer valid. However, we recommend that you retain your Card at least until you are sure that you do not intend to return any purchased merchandise. After this time, please cut the card in half and discard it.

A. The Promotional Dell Gift Card is a pre-loaded gift card that has a set dollar value printed on the front of the Card. A Dell expert can also help you check your available funds at one of our Dell Direct Store locations

Q. When should I receive my free Gift Card with purchase?

A. Your free Gift Card will arrive 6-8 weeks after your purchase.

Q. What should I do if I have not received my free Gift Card with purchase?

A. Your free Gift Card will arrive 6-8 weeks after your purchase. The Gift Card will not be sent if your original order has been cancelled or if you return your purchase. If you think you are eligible to receive a Gift Card and it has been more than 8 weeks since your order, please call 1-866-268-8390.

A. The Promotional Dell Gift Card can be used to purchase merchandise and services at Dell via the web or by phone as indicated on the materials accompanying the card. The Card may only be redeemed in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia for purchases from the business unit at Dell (e.g., Dell Home and Home Office, Dell Small, Medium or Large Business; Dell Government, Education or Healthcare; or the Dell Member Purchase Program) from which the Card was originally issued as indicated on the front of the Card. Q. Can I use a Promotional Dell Gift Card to withdraw cash at an ATM?

A. No. Dell Gift Cards are only to be used to purchase merchandise and services at Dell. The Card cannot be used to withdraw cash.

Q. What if I don’t have enough on the Promotional Dell Gift Card to buy what I want - How do I combine other forms of payment?

A. You can only spend the Available Funds on your Card. To use your Card for a purchase that is greater than the amount on the Card, you may pay the remaining amount of your purchase with any credit card accepted by Dell. Except for such credit cards, Cards may not be used in combination with any other form of payment including, without limitation, Dell Preferred Accounts.

Q. Can I use more than one Promotional Gift Card per purchase?

A. Dell can only accept a limited number of Card(s) per purchase. Promotional Dell Gift Cards (Cards that were not originally purchased but were given for free, as part of a promotion, incentive program, or otherwise) may not be merged with any other Dell Gift Cards.

Q. What if the Promotional Dell Gift Card is declined?

A. The Promotional Dell Gift Card will be declined if there are insufficient funds remaining on your Card to cover the amount of your purchase. It is important to keep track of your available funds to ensure that you do not exceed the Card’s value. If you want to make a purchase for more than the available funds on your Card, please follow the instructions detailed in the question above on "combining forms of payment." If you believe a Gift Card purchase transaction has been incorrectly declined, please contact us at 1-866-268-8390.

Q. What if I want to return or exchange something I purchased with the Promotional Dell Gift Card?

A. We value our relationship with you and want to make sure that you're satisfied with purchases made using your Card. Return of merchandise will be processed according to Dell’s return policies. If you receive a credit, the portion paid with your Card (excluding shipping & handling) will be allocated back to the Card within 3 to 7 business days after Dell receives and processes your returned merchandise. You cannot lodge a "billing dispute" or request a "stop payment" for purchases made using the Card. American Express, its affiliates, employees, and agents are not responsible for the services or merchandise purchased with the Card and are not responsible for the return or exchange of merchandise purchased with the Card. If you think an error has occurred with a transaction, you must contact Dell directly.

Q. What if I use only a portion of the value of the Promotional Dell Gift Card, what happens to the value remaining on the Card?

A. The Promotional Dell Gift Card can be used until the value of the Card is depleted. The recipient can enjoy more than one purchase with the Card as long as a balance remains on the Card.

Q. What if I have a problem with a purchase made with the Promotional Dell Gift Card?
