Question: I want to connect my flat panel TV remotely to my Media Center PC using cable. What if I want to use my PCs built in DVD player and sound? Where does the Home Theater system connect in for this scenario? Directly to the TV? Is this one of the benefits of the extender, in that it provides the inputs for all the external components and has only one connection to the TV? I’m getting confused with all the options.
The bottom line is that I have a TV in another room of the house and want to connect my PC to it (but not wirelessly). How do I integrate my home theater components into this layout? Thanks for your help!
Answer: So many good questions, but it all boils down to two basic options: 1) Connecting your PC directly to your TV/Home Theater via audio/video cabling, or 2) Connecting a Media Player or Media Center Extender directly to your TV/Home Theater....
