CTG offers three multi-mode LVD SCSI Terminators designed to support the Ultra2 Low Voltage Differential data transmission mode developed by the T-10 standards group. Ultra2, the newest of the SCSI standards, can transfer up to 80Mbps across the entire SCSI bus, or approximately twice the speed of Ultra Wide SCSI and up to 8x the speed of conventional Fast SCSI. This new standard also utilizes a new transceiver technology called Low Voltage Differential (LVD), which is compatible with older Single-Ended devices. LVD technology also increases the total cable length to 12 meters while attaching up to 16 devices to a LVD SCSI bus. In addition, the low voltage/current component of the LVD bus allows transceivers to be implemented in 3.3V CMOS. C2G's LVD terminators are only multimode to safeguard against co-populating Fast 20, High Voltage, single ended devices along the LVD SCSI bus. For LVD termination, the terminator integrates two regulated supplies with nine precision resistor strings. For SE termination, one regulator and nine precision 110 ohm resistors are used.
