Structured Programs in Dell Finance

Dell has a variety of programs that help finance team members accelerate their career. You’ll find a host of challenging assignments, all strategically designed to enhance skill sets and cultivate leadership abilities. Dell finance team members, who are interested in these programs, are asked to discuss with their managers and mentors to learn more.

Accounting Development Program

Accounting development program

Who: Entry-level Dell accountants
Where: Global
Time commitment: 3 one-year rotations
Level: Entry-level


Dell's Accounting Development Program (ADP) is designed to create Dell’s next generation of accounting leaders by offering participants the ability to rotate through several challenging positions while participating in enhanced accounting training and networking opportunities. The program includes three consecutive one-year assignments through defined accounting domains, and participants are eligible to earn the opportunity to spend six months working on a global assignment.

Dell's two-year Finance Development Program (FDP) gives entry-level finance employees an opportunity to launch their Finance careers. The program consists of four different six-month global finance rotational assignments and a significant academic focus to build solid finance and business skills.

Dell's three-year Finance Rotation Program provides a sustained focus on building future Global Finance organizational leaders through placement in stretch assignments that develop breadth of experience and a portfolio of skills. The program consists of three different 12-month assignments and a host of curriculum opportunities through executive speakers, case studies and classroom training.

Global Assurance and Transformation

Global Assurance & Transformation (GAT) is a leadership-development program designed to produce future Dell leaders by providing accelerated development opportunities through diverse assignments across different regions and business functions. We offer short- and long-term opportunities for high-performing talent across all our business functions interested in accelerating their development, broadening business and finance acumen, and building leadership capabilities early in their professional career. Individual development is accelerated through a host of structured and formal technical curriculums; online, classroom and on-the-job learning and development; individual development plans; structured management development; symposium events; and leadership and competency development. Continuous performance feedback is the cornerstone of our leadership development model that enables each team member to reach the fullest potential and achieve career goals.

Global Finance Excellence Program

Time commitment: 18 months
Level: Executive

 



The Global Finance Excellence Program (GFEP) provides experienced leaders the opportunity to further develop their leadership and technical skills through a series of activities and training. The program runs for 18 months, during which the participants meet face-to-face quarterly and complete a project with readouts to the Executive Leadership Team.

IT Rotation Program

Dell's three-year Information Technology Rotation Program (ITRP) gives top-talent individuals an opportunity to grow their breadth of experience and leadership capabilities. The program includes three one-year rotations across various Dell IT segments and includes formal learning, networking, and executive mentoring opportunities.

Marketing Rotation Program

Dell's Marketing Rotation Program (MRP) provides mid-level employees with an opportunity to expand their breadth of marketing knowledge and prepare for future leadership roles. The program includes three 12-month rotations in various parts of the marketing organization. Program members will participate in ongoing executive and team networking activities, mentor alignment and unique training to accelerate career growth.

Commercial Sales Operations Rotation Program

Dell's two-year Commercial Sales Operations Rotation Program provides a sustained focus on building future global CSO organizational leaders for our job families: Contracts & Proposals, Program/Project Management, Training, Order Management, Customer Care, Business Analytics & Reporting, and Sales Support. Participants receive stretch assignments that develop breadth of experience and a portfolio of skills. The high-potential talent program consists of two different 12-month assignments and a host of curriculum opportunities such as executive speakers, formal learning, business excellence training, networking, and executive mentoring opportunities.

Leadership Development Program (Supply Chain)

The 2-year Leadership Development Program (LDP) gives participants the chance to build a deep understanding and knowledge of Dell Global Operations and End-User Computer Solutions. Participants of this program develop an integrated view of procurement and supply chain, develop a global network of Dell professionals, gain exposure to executive management, enhance communication and presentation skills, and build a wide breadth of job experience.

Global Operations Accelerated Leadership (GOAL)

Time commitment: 2 years
Level: Executive

 


Global Operations Accelerated Leadership program, or GOAL, is a two-year development program for director-level participants. This program enables participants to accelerate competency-building and improve their executive readiness. Through this program, participants enhance influencing skills to accomplish objectives with and through others, develop and leverage strategic relationships to work end-to-end across boundaries, continue to boost leadership skills in break-through thinking and risk-taking, and boost abilities in coaching people, developing teams, and inspiring others.
