Dell also offers co-op positions that last for four, six or eight months throughout the year. To be eligible, you must be a graduate or undergraduate student enrolled in a formal co-operative program at an accredited college or university. You’ll gain academic credit for your assignments while you’re with us. Opportunities are available in US, China and Ireland in roles like: engineering, security, global services, finance, marketing and more!
Client Solutions Group Engineering Intern Program

Our most typical interns are pursuing Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer engineering degrees or a Computer Science degree. We sometimes have opportunities for other disciplines such as Chemical or Industrial engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics / Data Analysis, and Industrial Design. The roles they are placed into depends on their education but frequently interns will work in our product development organizations doing electrical design, software development (full stack from firmware to applications to web and cloud), test automation, system architecture and CTO, security, industrial design, and engineering program management.
At the end of the summer the intern is expected to present their findings to an array of senior executives and leaders at Dell to establish the positive impact to Dell and the intern. Below are a few examples of previous interns’ projects:

Finance Internship Program

The Accounting Internship Program is geared toward undergraduate or graduate students in a 5-year accounting program (or an equivalent). Ideal candidates should have a desire to pursue a career in accounting, as well as an accounting certification (CPA, CIMA, ACCA, etc).
Global Operations Internship

Support & Deployment Services is made up of global operations teams to include customer service, supply chain, and professional services; marketing and sales operations teams, finance, engineering, and more. Roles include a combination of project management and internal consulting roles. Interns joining this team will be expected to apply strong consulting skills to broad set of business improvement opportunities, including: mergers and acquisitions, operations improvement, cost reduction and business optimization
Human Resources Rotation Program - Internship (HRRP)

Team members complete their internship in one of the many sub-functions within HR. These internship roles may be as within Talent Acquisition, Compensation, HR Technology, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Organizational Development, etc. All areas of our HR function are potential rotations, for example HR Technology, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Regional HR Services, HR Operations, Employee Relations, Talent and Culture, Organizational Development, etc.
Interns will not only present these individual projects to our HR leadership team at the end of the summer, but they will also work on a team with their peers to complete a group project they will present as well. One of the advantages of this program is that students will have formal and informal mentors, HRRP bootcamp, development sessions throughout the summer, General HR, HRRP, and HRRP alumni networking, exposure to senior executive leaders, including the Chief Executive HR Officer and his HR Leadership team.
Inside Sales Internship Program

The internship begins with a 3 week training program to enable you to have success when talking to customers. You will learn valuable technical, sales, and business skills. Following the 3 week program, you will participate in many demand generation activities. Successful completion of the program often leads to full time opportunities post- graduation.
Undergraduate Marketing Internship

Hands on, real-time marketing business projects. Most will be able to be completed during the 10 week internship, some are forward thinking/strategic and will be turned over to the full time team for completion at the end of the internship. Opportunities include but not limited to: global communications (public relations, analyst relations, sales communications, internal communications), global events marketing, social media business, digital marketing, field and partner marketing (field and channel, executive briefing program, global alliances, customer references) brand and creative; brand and advertising.
In addition to the hands on experience, the internship also consists of the following elements: Dell Sponsored intern development events (both social and educational in nature), robust networking opportunities and high level visibility, regular one on one mentoring and guidance with Undergraduate Marketing Development Program manager, formal performance evaluation upon completion of internship, opportunity for consideration for full time undergraduate marketing development program admission upon successful completion of the program
IT Internship Program

Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the different IT departments and functions: operations & infrastructure, architecture, digital transformation & quality, application & data management, order management, services & team members experience Dell Commerce Services: Dell.com, CTO, Content Ops, Sales, Dell commerce platform, B2B online, Dell Finance Services (IT).
Students should choose a Dell IT internship because our program provides consistent engagement, support and training as needed. Our interns meet our senior leaders, they network across functions and get thorough understanding of a global business in a short space of time. We listen to our interns interests and help them reach their career goals. The program features a large scale overnight hackathon, social activities, prizes, free upskilling and exposure to senior leaders driving change in the technology industry.
