Jump Start Graduate Development Program
As part of Dell’s strong commitment to guide and develop young professionals, we launched a new program called Jump Start Graduate Development Program to help recent graduates integrate easily into the Dell culture and work environment.
The Jump Start Graduate Development Program consists of four professional development modules taken during the first year after joining Dell and includes resources to help participants:
- Transition to Dell
- Build relationships
- Build a professional network
- Build a career
Each module will provide new graduate hires not only the appropriate tools and training to grow and thrive within Dell, but will also provide opportunities to connect and network with team members and leaders to encourage participants to start mapping their career in Dell.
With Jump Start Development Program new graduate hires will:
- Develop a personal brand.
- Learn how to successfully build a professional relationship with peers and leaders.
- Strengthen networking opportunities.
- Engage with Dell’s Employee Resource Groups and team members to enhance development experience.
- Apply our career development model aimed at enhancing a career at Dell.
Dell is dedicated to graduate student hiring, and we offer various internship opportunities in several business areas to help our students learn more about our culture and career offerings. Please see the descriptions below for information about specific internship opportunities.
Accounting Intern Program
Who: Select students enrolled in a five-year accounting program or equivalent
The Accounting Intern Program is an 11-week intensive development opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a 5-year accounting program (or who will have equivalent credit hours required to become a Certified Public Accountant). In the program, interns have opportunities for real-world work experiences through at least one specific project that culminates in an end-of-summer presentation to executive management. The summer internship also includes intern-specific team building events, an executive speaker series, and networking opportunities with participants in other Dell development programs and coworkers.
Who: Undergraduate and Master's students with select engineering degrees
As a Dell intern engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in one of the following areas:
- Product Development: mechanical and electrical engineering development, Dell technology and innovation strategy creation, software solutions development, and test validation.
- Manufacturing Engineering: quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and test engineering.
- MIS: software development, business systems analysis, and technical analysis.
- Customer Services: engineering technical support.
- Dell.com ecommerce website: software development engineering and user experience engineering.
- Enterprise Software development: network security, cloud computing, info management, big data, system management.
- R&D: Research & Development for next-generation technology and Dell products, mobility, data center, internet and much more!
Finance Intern Program
Who: Select undergraduate and finance MBA students
The Finance Intern Program is an 11-week intensive development opportunity for undergraduate and graduate Finance students. In the program, interns have opportunities for real-world work experiences through at least one specific project that culminates in an end-of-summer presentation to management. The summer internship also includes intern-specific team building events, an executive speaker series, and networking opportunities with participants in other Dell development programs and coworkers.
Global Operations Internship
|Who: MBA candidates from select universities|
Where: United States
Time commitment: Ten to twelve weeks over the summer
Join a world-class Global Operations supply chain where you can drive lasting change while building a long-term career. At Dell, our talented supply chain experts and benchmarked processes and capabilities are supporting the company’s transformation strategy. With in-house supply chain training and development programs that enable our team members to build their careers with us, we’ve built an environment where our team members feel inspired, connected and have the ability to succeed every day. Interns work in different areas of Global Operations and, all interns are expected to complete analysis and present results/recommendations to management on specific summer projects.
Global Sales Operations Internship
|Who: MBA candidates and undergraduates from select universities|
Where: United States and India
Time commitment: Eleven weeks over the summer
The Global Sales Operations Internship is an 11 week summer program providing insight into the behind-the-scenes projects that support positive customer engagement and an optimized end-to-end order experience. In the program, interns take on an impactful assignment that culminates in an end-of-summer presentation to executive management. The summer internship also includes team building events, an executive speaker series, business case challenge and networking opportunities with participants in other Dell development programs and coworkers. We provide our interns with robust performance feedback, career development planning and the possibility of a full-time role upon graduation.
Global Services and Deployment MBA Interns
Who: MBA candidates from select universities
Global Services and Deployment (GSD) is made up of global operations teams to include customer service, supply chain, and professional services; marketing and sales operations teams, finance, engineering, and more. Roles include a combination of project management and internal consulting roles. Interns, joining this team, will be expected to apply strong consulting skills to broad set of business improvement opportunities, including: mergers and acquisitions, operations improvement, cost reduction and business optimization.
Human Resources Internship
Who: Master's degree candidates
Where: United States
Time commitment: Ten to twelve weeks over summer

Dell’s HR intern program provides students a snapshot of what Dell and the HR Rotational Program have to offer and includes project based roles throughout HR. Upon successful completion of their internship, students are the first to be considered for offers to join Dell’s HR Rotation Program.
Who: Select undergraduate and graduate students
The Dell IT internship is a 10-12 week program designed for top performing undergraduate or graduate students. As an IT intern, you will undertake challenging, strategic, and operational projects. You will be given a manager who is committed to their success and will provide a detailed project plan for success and regularly meet 1x1 to provide support and network opportunities within the company. The program also provides an assigned mentor and peer level buddy as well as frequent group events. The internship culminates with a high visibility presentation to executive management.
Marketing MBA Internship
Who: MBA candidates from select universities
The Marketing MBA Internship Program invites MBA students from select universities to join Dell’s marketing organization over the summer between their first and second year of business school. Interns provide fresh insights into key strategic projects, and the program provides students an incredible learning experience and career development opportunity. This program is a key pipeline for hiring students straight from highly competitive MBA programs.

Graduate Development Program (Operations and Client Solutions)
|Who: All new graduate hires joining Operations and Client Solutions organization (O&CS) who are not part of a specialized development or rotational program|
Time commitment: Twelve months
The Operations and Client Solutions (O&CS) Graduate Development Program is a new campus hire development program which will provide a 12-month onboarding experience for new graduate hires across Operations and Client Solutions.
The goals of the Graduate Development Program are to:
- Enable new graduate hires to integrate into the Dell culture more quickly
- Create a positive and supportive transition from campus to the workforce
- Support our leaders in onboarding, leading and developing their talent
The Graduate Development Program consists of four focus areas to help create a great experience for each new hire into O&CS:
- Community and networking
- Buddy Program
- Learning and development
- Leader engagement and readiness
HR Rotation Program
Who: Masters in Human Resources graduates
Dell's Human Resources Rotation Program (HRRP) is designed to build a team of well-rounded HR professionals who can innovate, think strategically, engage and act with our clients, keep our customers in mind, execute quickly and lead the future of HR at Dell.
Participants typically experience a rotation assignment: in a Center of Excellence, in an HR field position, in a business-aligned position, or on a key strategic project or activity.
Marketing Development Program
Who: Recent MBA marketing graduates
Upon completion of a Dell internship and acceptance of a full-time offer within marketing, you will be placed into the Marketing Development Program for a period of nine to twelve months. You will lead strategic assignments in various parts of the organization on a wide variety of teams such as: product marketing, marketing analytics and online marketing. You will have access to exclusive trainings, executive exposure, networking opportunities and the chance to identify your ideal role within Dell.
