Jump Start Graduate Development ProgramJump Start Development Program

As part of Dell’s strong commitment to guide and develop young professionals, we launched a new program called Jump Start Graduate Development Program to help recent graduates integrate easily into the Dell culture and work environment.

The Jump Start Graduate Development Program consists of four professional development modules taken during the first year after joining Dell and includes resources to help participants:

  1. Transition to Dell
  2. Build relationships
  3. Build a professional network
  4. Build a career

Each module will provide new graduate hires not only the appropriate tools and training to grow and thrive within Dell, but will also provide opportunities to connect and network with team members and leaders to encourage participants to start mapping their career in Dell.

With Jump Start Development Program new graduate hires will:

  • Develop a personal brand.
  • Learn how to successfully build a professional relationship with peers and leaders.
  • Strengthen networking opportunities.
  • Engage with Dell’s Employee Resource Groups and team members to enhance development experience.
  • Apply our career development model aimed at enhancing a career at Dell.

Accounting Intern Program

Accounting Internship

Who: Select students enrolled in a five-year accounting program or equivalent
Where: United States
Time commitment: Eleven weeks over the summer


The Accounting Intern Program is an 11-week intensive development opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a 5-year accounting program (or who will have equivalent credit hours required to become a Certified Public Accountant). In the program, interns have opportunities for real-world work experiences through at least one specific project that culminates in an end-of-summer presentation to executive management. The summer internship also includes intern-specific team building events, an executive speaker series, and networking opportunities with participants in other Dell development programs and coworkers.

Dell Financial Services Intern Program

Time commitment: Eleven weeks over the summer


As Dell’s captive financing arm, Dell Financial Services (DFS) facilitates financing of technology products and services for consumers, businesses, and educational and public institutions. Working at DFS is a unique opportunity in that Interns are exposed to the full operating structure of the financing business. Interns at DFS are included in the Finance Intern Program at Dell and will work on challenging and strategic projects in a variety of key functional areas within DFS. DFS Interns will also have access to additional DFS-specific resources and activities such as a DFS Managers Speaker Series.

Engineering Internship

Who: Undergraduate and Master's students with select engineering degrees

Time commitment: Ten to twelve weeks over summer


As a Dell intern engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in one of the following areas:

  • Product Development: mechanical and electrical engineering development, Dell technology and innovation strategy creation, software solutions development, and test validation.
  • Manufacturing Engineering: quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and test engineering.
  • MIS: software development, business systems analysis, and technical analysis.
  • Customer Services: engineering technical support.
  • Dell.com ecommerce website: software development engineering and user experience engineering.
  • Enterprise Software development: network security, cloud computing, info management, big data, system management.
  • R&D: Research & Development for next-generation technology and Dell products, mobility, data center, internet and much more!

Finance Intern Program

The Finance Intern Program is an 11-week intensive development opportunity for undergraduate and graduate Finance students. Global Sales Operations Internship

The Global Sales Operations Internship is an 11-week summer program providing insight into the behind-the-scenes projects that support positive customer engagement and an optimized end-to-end order experience. In the program, interns take on an impactful assignment that culminates in an end-of-summer presentation to executive management. The summer internship also includes team building events, an executive speaker series, business case challenge and networking opportunities with participants in other Dell development programs and coworkers. We provide our interns with robust performance feedback, career development planning and the possibility of a full-time role upon graduation.

IT Internship

IT Internship

Who: Select undergraduate and graduate students
Where: United States
Time commitment: Ten to twelve weeks over the summer


The Dell IT internship is a 10-12 week program designed for top performing undergraduate or graduate students. As an IT intern, you will undertake challenging, strategic, and operational projects. Your manager will be committed to your success and will provide a detailed project plan and regularly face-to-face meetings with you to provide support and networking opportunities. The program also provides an assigned mentor and peer level buddy as well as frequent group events. The internship culminates with a high visibility presentation to executive management.

Supply Chain Development Internship Program

Supply Chain Development Internship Program

Who: Select entry-level graduates from top supply chain schools
Where: Austin, TX
Time commitment: Ten to twelve weeks over summer

 


The Supply Chain Development Intern Program (SCDP) gives entry-level college graduates an opportunity to launch their Supply Chain careers. Successful interns transition from the internship to a fulltime program consisting of three different one year rotational assignments (i.e. fulfillment, operations, procurement) and a significant academic focus to build solid Supply Chain and business skills. This is a new program that kicked-off in Austin in June 2014 with top talent undergraduate university recruits.

Dell's Accounting Development Program (ADP) is designed to create Dell’s next generation of accounting leaders by offering participants the ability to rotate through several challenging positions while participating in enhanced accounting training and networking opportunities. The program includes three consecutive one-year assignments through defined accounting domains, and participants are eligible to earn the opportunity to spend six months working on a global assignment.

Client Development Program

Who: Entry-level recent graduates
Where: Oklahoma City, OK; Round Rock, TX
Time commitment: Twelve-month full-time program
Level: Entry-level


The Client Development Program is a twelve-month program in support of Dell’s commitment to help our people and our community to grow and thrive. This program equips recent graduates with the tools to begin building a firm career foundation through challenging and strategic assignments across the Client Support organization. This program includes exposure to data analytics, leadership curriculum and leadership- and peer-level mentoring. Participants will also engage in high-visibility networking opportunities, community service events and leadership speaker series.

Dell's two-year Finance Development Program (FDP) gives entry-level finance employees an opportunity to launch their finance careers. The program consists of four different six-month global finance rotational assignments and a significant academic focus to build solid finance and business skills.

Finance Graduate Program

Who: Select graduates interested in corporate finance
Where: Panama
Time commitment: Six months
Level: Entry-level


The purpose of the Finance Graduate Program is to develop talent beyond analytical skills by focusing on key soft skills and interpersonal competencies necessary for success at Dell. This program is designed to nurture the future leaders of Dell.

The program curriculum covers all development areas, which are necessary for fresh graduates to start up their career in an international finance organization. It focuses on development through individual and team trainings covering finance, technical and soft skills. A successful candidate should be fluent in English and have a desire to start a career in corporate finance.

Graduate Development Program (Operations and Client Solutions)

The Operations and Client Solutions (O&CS) Graduate Development Program is a new campus hire development program which will provide a 12-month onboarding experience for new graduate hires across Operations and Client Solutions.

The goals of the Graduate Development Program are to:

  • Enable new graduate hires to integrate into the Dell culture more quickly
  • Create a positive and supportive transition from campus to the workforce
  • Support our leaders in onboarding, leading and developing their talent

The Graduate Development Program consists of four focus areas to help create a great experience for each new hire into O&CS:

  1. Community and networking
  2. Buddy Program
  3. Learning and development
  4. Leader engagement and readiness

IT Development Program

Time commitment: Three years
Level: Entry-level

The IT Development Program (ITDP) gives entry-level college graduates an opportunity to launch their IT careers. The program consists of one-year rotational assignments for three years with significant academic focus to build solid IT and business skills. Rotations within the program are determined annually based on participant goals and development objectives. Technical and generalist paths are available to align with career goals. By providing visibility to leadership with mentoring and networking, exposure to variety of roles and segments, and program-sponsored training, the ITDP provides a key investment in the future of Dell IT.

Supply Chain Development Program

Where: Austin, TX
Time commitment: Three Years

 


The Supply Chain Development Program (SCDP) gives entry-level college graduates an opportunity to launch their Supply Chain careers.
