Client administrators can use the Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) suite to automate client management on Dell Precision workstations, OptiPlex desktops and Latitude laptops.

Dell OpenManage hardware management integrates with the Microsoft SCCM suite to create the Dell Business Client Deployment Pack, the Dell Business Client Update Catalog and the Dell Management Pack. The deployment, update and management packs automate Windows configuration and deployment, and then enable administrators to monitor and update their Windows clients — all from a central Microsoft SCCM console:

  • Dell Business Client Deployment Pack for Microsoft SCCM provides a simple graphical user interface that centralises and automates Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications.
  • Dell Business Client Update Catalog for Microsoft SCCM and System Center Essentials (SCE) automates and synchronises the latest client BIOS, firmware and driver configurations downloaded from the SCCM console. The Dell Business Client Update Catalog also includes a connection to the Dell support site.
  • Dell Management Pack for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and SCE enables administrators to discover and monitor the system health of Dell clients. The Dell Management Pack also supports Intel® vPro™ management technology.
