      Bill Scannell

      Bill Scannell is president of Global Sales & Customer Operations at Dell Technologies, overseeing Sales, Presales, Specialty Sales, OEM and the Global Alliances and Channel ecosystem. Bill is responsible for go-to-market (GTM) strategy and driving global growth by delivering Dell Technologies solutions to organizations in established and new markets in 180 countries around the world.

      Prior to this role, Bill headed Global Enterprise Sales & Customer Operations, leading Dell Technologies sales teams to deliver innovative and practical technology solutions to large enterprises and public institutions worldwide. He assumed this role in 2016 following the Dell and EMC merger. Previously, Bill served as president of EMC Global Sales & Customer Operations. 

      Bill began his career as an EMC sales representative in 1986 and became country manager of Canada two years later. Upon returning to the United States, Bill took on additional responsibilities and regions before he relocated to London in 1999 to run EMC’s Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America businesses. Back in the U.S., Bill took over the reins of worldwide sales in 2001 and assumed leadership of all Global Sales and Customer Operations in 2012.

      Under Bill’s leadership, Dell Technologies customer-facing professionals have earned distinction as one of the most successful and customer-focused organizations in any industry.

      Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Northeastern University. He currently serves on the Board at IonQ, an industry leader in quantum computing.
