Embracing diversity and inclusion in the workplace is not just the right thing to do. At Dell, we believe that it strengthens us as a company and helps us serve our customers better.

We are honored that Dell has earned a perfect score of 100 percent for the seventh consecutive time in the 2012 Corporate Equality Index, an annual survey administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. The HRC reported that its efforts and companies like Dell are protecting more than nine million workers from discrimination in the workplace.

Along with the HRC and the Business Coalition for Workplace Fairness, Dell supports the passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). This law would provide basic protections against workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The Dell lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employee group, Dell PRIDE, was founded in 2002, and is focused on effectively attracting and retaining valuable LGBT employees. Members of Dell PRIDE actively participate in a large number of outside initiatives, including the AIDS Walks in our local U.S. sites, the Austin Gay & Lesbian International Film Festival, and Out & Equal's Workplace Summit.
