During deployment, you import contacts into AlertFind along with individuals’ contact information and communication priority preferences. (For example, during the work week, a recipient may wish to be contacted in a particular order until a response is provided: first to a work phone, then to a mobile device by SMS text message and only then to a home phone.)

When a notification needs to be sent, an authorized user can create a message or select a predefined message template. The message can be a voice message, an email, an SMS text, a pager notification or a fax. It can be sent to a specific user or to groups of users, and it can include a request for a response. Once the message is delivered, AlertFind tracks responses so that the message creator knows in real time who has received the message, who has responded and what actions to take.

AlertFind also comes with an optional Incident Collaboration Center (ICC), which provides a central portal for collaboration and information sharing. The AlertFind ICC can be used to post incident logs, provide formal task management and enable secure document sharing using permission-based access.

Automated message delivery and escalation
With AlertFind you can:
  • Reach hundreds of thousands of users — nearly anywhere and at anytime — by voice or text.
  • Contact people on over a dozen different devices ranging from home phones, cell phones, pagers, wireless devices, SMS and personal email accounts.
  • Easily specify device-to-device escalation rules as well as user-to-user escalations. To initiate notifications, you can:
    • Use a web-based user interface
    • Call Dell for assistance
    • Send a secure SMS message
    • Call interactive voice recognition lines to trigger predefined notification templates
    • Enable direct integration with corporate back-end systems
Enterprise data security and access control
Designed to meet the requirements of large enterprises for data privacy and access control, AlertFind enables you to control who initiates notifications, who can be contacted and what those recipients can view. You can also control user access to data and functionality by creating teams of users based on business unit, department, response team, geographic location and role.

Real-time auditing and reporting
AlertFind features a real-time audit trail with a detailed transactional log of pending and sent notifications.

Integration capabilities with web services API
With the web services API, AlertFind can be integrated with enterprise software solutions (including systems management, help desk and supply chain applications) and custom business applications so you can maintain current user contact information and automate notifications triggered by those other applications. For example, a call to the help desk could trigger a service order for repair personnel.
