Blue Sense Networks is Dell’s next Startup-in-Residence
Dell today announced the winner in the search for its next Startup-in-Residence – Blue Sense Networks. The company now has the opportunity to accelerate its growth with one year’s free office space, access to mentorship, and networking opportunities.
The team will also receive a package of business-ready technology solutions, taking the pressure off the daily running of a startup and allowing the company to focus on creating great innovations.
Blue Sense Networks is pioneering the proximity data industry through software and hardware technology. Its leading mobile software development kits (SDKs) and cloud platform helps a variety of key industries to unlock and analyse hundreds of millions of indoor proximity data points, helping them gain unparalleled customer insight and providing the ability to deliver new mobile services.
In January, startups were invited to apply to become the next Startup-in-Residence, with a shortlist chosen to pitch to Dell’s leadership team in the U.K., and the two most impressive taking part in a live elevator pitch at the Dell for Entrepreneurs networking event on 1 July. The winner was chosen by a panel of judges led by Tim Griffin, vice president & managing director, Dell U.K.
The Startup-in-Residence programme forms a core part of Dell for Entrepreneurs, an initiative designed to help British entrepreneurs and startups through easier access to finance, technology and networking opportunities.
On the win, Vladimir Petrov, founder and chief executive officer of Blue Sense Networks, said: "We have reached a major milestone in our recognition as an innovator in the field, by earning the trust of Dell and becoming the next Startup-in-Residence. Blue Sense Networks is committed to providing best in class proximity technology to help our partners and clients reach actionable insights and deliver relevant proximity experience to their customers. We are very much looking forward to expanding our reach into new markets and, with the support of Dell, we can now focus on innovation and technological excellence."
Tim Griffin, vice president & managing director, Dell UK, said: "I’m delighted to welcome Blue Sense Networks to Dell UK’s offices. This year’s competition was tough, with an impressive set of companies applying to become the next Startup-in-Residence. After much debate we finally chose the Blue Sense Networks team because of the company’s growth potential, its technological skills and an ethos that aligns with Dell’s entrepreneurial spirit."
Beginning its tenancy in September, Blue Sense Networks will join Dell’s other current Startup-in-Residence, innovative email company, Fantoo.
