Switching out level-1 computer labs every two years was costly and painful for desktop support staff and providing break/fix services for desktops across three campuses left little time for higher-value projects.
The college undertook both server virtualization and desktop virtualization using Dell™ PowerEdge™ servers with Intel® Xeon® processors, Dell FX-100 zero clients, VMware® vSphere™ and VMware View™ software, and Dell EqualLogic™ iSCSI SANs.
