Help Me Choose: Mobile Broadband

Stay connected online virtually anywhere.

Unlike wireless cards that require Wi-Fi™ routers, local networks and hotspots for Internet access, cellular mobile broadband provides wireless Internet access directly through cellular phone networks at average download speeds up to 1.4 Mbps* or about as fast as a wired broadband connection. Cellular mobile broadband is designed to connect anywhere within your carrier’s broadband coverage area; generally, this means the same places you can make a cell phone call, with the same limitations.*

Select the service provider of your choice:
  • Dell NetReady
  • AT&T
  • Sprint
  • Verizon Wireless

Dell’s built-in mobile broadband cards are designed to provide performance advantages over external cards and offer the convenience of an all-in-one solution. This means no more lost or broken cards, and no more forgetting to bring the card along when you’re on the road.

You can access this service by choosing an integrated mobile broadband minicard for your new Dell™ laptop and activating service with the appropriate carrier

For Pay-As-You-Go service, no activation is required during the purchase process.

For subscription based service, after checkout, you will be directed to Dell’s mobile broadband activation center to sign up for service with your chosen carrier. Please note that even though you can select your service plan at checkout, your service charges will not begin until you receive your notebook. If you choose not to sign up for service at time of purchase, simply call Dell’s activation center when you receive your laptop to select a service plan and activate mobile broadband service.
