Tim Brown                            Tim Brown

                            With more than 20 years of information security expertise,
Tim Brown has driven development in many areas of security, including identity and access management, security compliance, threat research, vulnerability management,encryption, managed security services and cloud security. His responsibility spans Dell’s security, software and cloud portfolios and the integration of these solutions across Dell. He is a frequent speaker on the evolution of security and cloud computing and has provided expert testimony to U.S. Congressional hearings focused on cybersecurity research and development (R&D) and cybersecurity in the cloud. Brown holds more than 20 security-related patents.

Alan Daines                            Alan Daines
                            Chief Information Security Officer for Dell Global Security 
                            – Compliance and Information Security
                            As Executive Director and Chief Information Security Officer
of Dell’s Compliance and Information Security organization, Alan Daines manages risk by maintaining compliance and securing the enterprise environment. Born and educated in the UK, he spent the first half of his career in roles across EMEA, leading large-enterprise infrastructure projects in IT outsourcing, engineering, IT architecture, support and program/project management. Since joining Dell in 1999, he has worked in IT security and infrastructure roles. Currently based at Dell’s Round Rock, Texas headquarters, Daines is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, Inc. (ISC2).

John Gordineer                           John Gordineer
                           Director of Product Marketing, Dell Security Products
                           John Gordineer is the director of product marketing for Dell
                           security products. In this role, he is responsible for technical
messaging, positioning, and evangelization of Dell SonicWALL network security, email security, and secure remote access solutions to customers, partners, the press and industry analysts. Gordineer has over 20 years of experience in product marketing, product management, product development and manufacturing engineering at Verilink, SonicWALL and now Dell. Gordineer earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University.

David Konetski                            David Konetski
                            Executive Director of End-User Computing, Dell Fellow

                            With more than 25 years of experience in the technology
                            industry, David Konetski specializes in simplifying the
technology landscape through standardization efforts, education and public/government relations outreach on technology topics. His technology focus areas are audio, business and consumer security, white spaces communication, consumer entertainment, content protection, digital home and PC architecture. Prior to joining Dell, he worked in technical marketing at Cirrus Logic. Konetski holds six issued patents, with 24 pending, and earned degrees from Northeastern University and Cornell University.

John McClurg                            John McClurg
                            Chief Security Officer for Dell Global Security Organization

                            John McClurg directs the strategic focus and tactical
                            operations of Dell’s internal global security services, both
physical and cyber. He is responsible for improving security initiatives and integrating Dell’s security offerings. Prior to joining Dell, McClurg served as Vice President of Global Security at Honeywell. He has extensive experience in the U.S. intelligence community, having worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). McClurg holds J.D., M.A., B.S. and B.A. degrees from Brigham Young University and has conducted advanced doctoral studies at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and the University of California-Los Angeles.

Jon Ramsey                           Jon Ramsey
                           Chief Technology Officer for Dell Secureworks,
                           Executive Director for Dell SecureWorks Counter Threat
                           Unit, Dell Fellow

Jon Ramsey works with the nation’s top security experts to identify and analyze emerging cyber threats while developing rapid countermeasures in support of clients worldwide. An information security expert with policy-making responsibility, he has more than 20 years of hands-on experience. Prior to joining Dell SecureWorks, he worked for the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT/CC) at Carnegie Mellon University, Siemens Corporate Research and the University of Pittsburgh. Ramsey holds a master’s degree in software engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Speakers

Ramses Gallego                           Ramsés Gallego  
                           Security Strategist and Evangelist for Dell Software

                           Ramsés Gallego defines the vision of the security discipline
                           and evangelizes on its mission and strategy, promoting the
ideas that a revolution (rather than an evolution) is needed to move technology along in the enterprise and that governance is essential to facilitate innovation. Prior to joining Dell, he was Chief Strategy Officer of the Security and Risk Management practice at Entelgy, worked for CA Technologies and was Regional Manager for SurfControl in Spain and Portugal. He is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and is Certified in the Governance of the Enterprise IT (CGEIT). He holds a Stanford Certified Project Manager (SCPM) designation from Stanford University and is one of the first experts with the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK). He is also an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) Foundations-certified professional. His educational background includes law and an M.B.A degree.

Florian Malecki                           Florian Malecki
                           Dell International Product Marketing Director

                           As International Product Marketing Director at Dell, Florian
                           Malecki drives the development of Dell’s network security
solutions for worldwide markets. Previously he served as a member of the Dell SonicWALL marketing team, where he handled development of enterprise-class products and services for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets. Prior to joining Dell, he worked as the EMEA Marketing Manager for Aventail and the International Marketing Manager at ClearSwift. He has also worked in senior marketing roles at Omgeo and Lucent Technologies. Malecki’s area of interest is high-performance computing (HPC).

Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) Speakers

Alan White                           Alan J. White
                           Director of Security and Risk Consulting, Dell SecureWorks
                           APJ (Tokyo, Japan)

                           Alan White is an expert in computer security who assists
clients in achieving better security awareness, managing threats effectively, and efficiently responding to incidents. Alan has led each of the service practices and all SRC for North America prior to his current role in APJ. His responsibilities today entail performing strategic consulting, including: incident response management, information risk management, compliance audits (PCI, SOX, SAS70, GLBA, FFIEC, NCUA, HIPAA, ISO27001/2, FISMA/NIST), security strategy, gap analysis and controls assessment, policy development, business impact analysis and best practices assessment (CERT, CIS, NSA, NIST, ISO, ITIL, CMM, COBIT, OCTAVE). Alan also performs various professional services, including: vulnerability assessments, application security assessments, incident response, compliance assessments, penetration testing, database security assessments and instructing. He has won the SANS Hacker Competition and Department of Defense Competition three out of the last four years.
