Simplify Imaging

Loading images deskside or at a staging area consumes valuable IT time and impacts end users' productivity.

You can save time and money by providing your image to us via the media that's most convenient for you, or promote it to our factory via ImageDirect. By allowing Dell Services to load your image onto your PCs in the factory as your systems are being built, you’ll be able to receive fully imaged laptops and desktops, and minimize disruption to your day-to-day operations.

Online First Article: Review your 1st article online and validate images, BIOS, and other hardware and software integration and configuration prior to fulfilling volume orders. This saves time because you don’t have to wait for an overnight package and you will eliminate the cost of a beta product build.

Dell System Restore brings your systems back to their original factory state. Your image for Dell laptops and desktops can be restored from a duplicate image stored within a hidden partition on the hard drive. Remote users don’t have to send their system back to the IT department for reimaging or have to reimage the system over the network.

Bring the advantage of factory integration to systems management tools like Microsoft SCCM. As we load your image in the factory, we can run most of your automated sequencing tasks. This minimizes the configuration tasks you need to perform once your new systems arrive.

Dell KACE is seamlessly integrated with Dell Image Load: With the Dell KACE™ 2000, you’ll find it easy to manage and send updated gold master images to the factory for initial deployment. Once the machines are received, the K2000 validates the factory images, and handles any user state migration tasks and any post-deployment tasks.

In order for Dell to provide configuration services, Dell must first ensure your image is exportable in accordance with the U.S. Export law. Click here to learn more.

Image Development

Using X-Image, a Dell Services engineer works with you to create a single multiplatform image that can be applied to all your new and legacy OptiPlex, Latitude and Dell Precision systems, as well as to systems from other vendors. We can even maintain the image and load it onto additional systems you order.

For those of you who prefer to do it yourself, the Dell ImageDirect online portal lets you configure your image and applications, and integrate both into your systems at point of manufacture.
