Happy New Year and welcome to the first issue of the Dell Women’s Entrepreneur Network (DWEN) newsletter, The Conversation, which has been developed by the talented women you met through our LinkedIn group, networking events and DWEN events in Shanghai and Rio. Requested by the network, this is yet another way for us to stay connected and share valuable information that supports your business growth.

In this issue, we’re excited to feature Ingrid Vanderveldt, Dell’s first Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) and DWEN inaugural member, who is providing unique “outside insights” to Dell to help us develop the best products, services and solutions that address your top business needs. The customers’ point of view, like Ingrid’s and yours, is our best R&D and always our No. 1 consideration. The EIR program takes our ability to listen and act on what you need to the next level.

It’s that action that also makes DWEN so unique – many of you have harnessed the power of the network and helped each other grow. There are many examples of how you have made powerful connections to each other leading to business deals (and really fun vacations some of you are taking together!). We’ll be highlighting these stories as well in The Conversation, on and in the LinkedIn group.

We hope you enjoy the newsletter and look forward to continuing The Conversation.
