QWhat is a Dell Gift Card?  
AThe Dell Gift Card (“Card”) is not a credit card - it is a non-expiring, prepaid gift card that has a set dollar value . It can be used to purchase merchandise and services from Dell at our website or by phone as indicated on the materials accompanying the Gift Card. The Gift Card is not valid for credit payments owed to Dell Financial Services. The Gift Card cannot be redeemed at any third-party retail locations. The total dollar amount of purchases made with the Gift Card will be automatically deducted from the value of the Gift Card. Once the amount available on the Gift Card has been exhausted, any future transactions will be declined. If the purchase amount is greater than the remaining Gift Card balance you will be given an option to add an additional form of payment. Please read the question below on "combining forms of payment " to make a purchase that exceeds the funds available on the Gift Card.
 
QIs the Dell Gift Card a credit card?  
ANo, the Dell Gift Card is a prepaid gift card that has a set dollar value. The Dell Gift Card is not a credit card and cannot be used as one.
 
QWhere can the Dell Gift Card be used?  
AThe Gift Card may only be redeemed in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia to purchase merchandise or services at Dell online or phone 1-800-727-6000.
 
QWhere is the Dell Gift Card not valid?  
AThe Gift Card is not accepted for Dell Financial Services payments (including Dell Preferred Accounts, Dell Account) and cannot be used to purchase other Dell Gift Cards or used at any 3rd party, non-Dell establishments.
 
QDoes the Dell Gift Card have an expiration date?  
AThe funds on Dell Gift Cards issued to you do not expire. Please note that while Dell Gift Card funds do not expire, Promotional Gift Cards given by Dell or through its partners for free, including cards given “free with purchase,” or otherwise are subject to an expiration date. More information on Promotional Gift Card terms and conditions can be found at dell.com/giftcard/promoterms. To determine which card you have please reference the back of the card.
 
QWhat if the Dell Gift Card is lost or stolen?  
AYou should safeguard the Gift Card from unauthorized use. Except where required by applicable law, Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or replaced if lost or stolen, and only then after notifying Dell Customer Care at 1-800-624-9897, hours: Monday – Friday, 9AM to 6PM CT only , and providing proof of purchase, Gift Card number, and 4-digit CID number found on the back of the card. Note: It is critical to notify Dell as soon as possible if a Gift Card is lost or stolen. Funds debited from a lost/stolen Gift Card prior to our receipt of your notification CANNOT be replaced.
 
QCan value be added to the Dell Gift Card?  
ANo. Once the value of the Gift Card has been depleted, the Gift Card is no longer valid. However, we recommend that you retain your Gift Card at least until you are sure that you do not intend to return any purchased merchandise.
 
QAre there fees and service charges?   
AGift Cards do not carry any maintenance fees or service charges.
 
QHow will the recipient know the value on their Dell Gift Card?   
AThe Dell Gift Card is a prepaid gift card that has a set dollar value. Recipients can call our toll-free balance inquiry service at 1-800-242-5353, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to obtain the available funds on the Gift Card, or check online here.
  
QDo Terms and Conditions apply?   
AYes. Terms and Conditions accompany the Gift Cards we distribute. The Terms and Conditions are also available online at www.dell.com/giftcard/terms.
 
QWhere can I purchase a Dell Gift Card?  
ADell Gift Cards up to $500 denominations can be purchased online at www.dell.com/giftcards and delivered via mail or email.
  
QCan I return a Dell Gift Card at the retail store from which it was originally purchased?  
ANo. Dell Gift Cards cannot be returned at any retail store. Except where required by applicable law, Gift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash or replaced if lost or stolen, and only then after notifying Dell Customer Care at 1-800-624-9897, hours: Monday – Friday, 9AM to 6PM CT only, and providing proof of purchase. Note: It is critical to notify us as soon as possible if a Gift Card is lost or stolen. Funds debited from a lost/stolen Gift Card prior to our receipt of your notification CANNOT be replaced.
  
QIs there a charge to buy a Dell Gift Card from a retail store?  
ANo. You will not be charged a fee to purchase Dell Gift Cards from a retail store.
  
QWhere can I use the Dell Gift Card?  
AThe Dell Gift Card can be used to purchase merchandise and services available through Dell via the web or by phone as indicated on the materials accompanying the card.
  
QCan I use a Dell Gift Card to withdraw cash at an ATM?  
ANo, the Gift Card cannot be used to withdraw cash. Dell Gift Cards are only to be used to purchase merchandise and services from Dell in the 50 United States and in the District of Columbia.
  
QCan I use more than one Dell Gift Card per purchase?  
ADell can only accept a limited number of Gift Card(s) per purchase. Multiple non-expiring Dell Gift Cards can be consolidated into a single card by calling 1-800-624-9897, hours: Monday – Friday, 9AM to 6PM CT only. Please note that Dell Promotional Gift Cards (Promo Cards that were not originally purchased but were given for free, as part of a promotion, or otherwise) may not be merged with any Dell Gift Cards. Dell reserves the right to reject request for consolidation of any Cards at its own discretion for any reason.
   
QWhat if I don’t have enough pre-paid dollars on the Dell Gift Card to buy what I want? How do I combine other forms of payment? 
AYou can only spend the Available Funds on your Gift Card. To use your Gift Card for a purchase that is greater than the amount on the Gift Card, you may pay the remaining amount of your purchase with a Dell Preferred Account or any credit card accepted by Dell. At this time, except for a Dell Preferred Account or such credit cards, Gift Cards may not be used in combination with any other form of payment including, without limitation, Dell Business Credit, Dell Account, or Dell Lease accounts.
   
QWhat if the Dell Gift Card is declined?  
AThe Dell Gift Card can be declined if there are insufficient funds remaining on your Gift Card to cover the amount of your purchase. It is important to keep track of your available funds to ensure that you do not exceed the Gift Card’s value. If you want to make a purchase for more than the available funds on your Gift Card, please follow the instructions detailed in the question above on "combining forms of payment." If you believe a Gift Card purchase transaction has been incorrectly declined, please contact us at 1-800-624-9897, hours: Monday – Friday, 9AM to 6PM CT only.
  
QWhat if I want to return or exchange something I purchased with the Dell Gift Card?   
AWe value our relationship with you and want to make sure that you're satisfied with purchases made using your Gift Card. Return of merchandise will be processed according to Dell’s return policies. If you receive a credit, the portion paid with your Gift Card (excluding shipping & handling) will be allocated back to the Gift Card within 3 to 7 business days after Dell receives and processes your returned merchandise.
  
QWhat if I use only a portion of the value of the Dell Gift Card? What happens to the value remaining on the Card?   
AThe Dell Gift Card can be used until the value of the Gift Card is depleted. The recipient can enjoy more than one purchase with the Gift Card as long as a sufficient balance remains on the Gift Card.
  
QWhat if I have a problem with a purchase made with the Dell Gift Card?   
AWe value our relationship with you and want to make sure that you're satisfied with purchases made using your Gift Card. Return of merchandise will be processed according to Dell’s return policies. If you receive a credit, the portion paid with your Gift Card (excluding shipping & handling) will be allocated back to the Gift Card within 3 to 7 business days after Dell receives and processes your returned merchandise. If you think an error has occurred with a transaction, you should contact Dell directly.
 
QHow do I track my transactions and the available funds on my Dell Gift Card?   
ATo check the amount of funds available on the Gift Card call our 24-hour, toll-free Balance Inquiry line at 1-800-242-5353 or check online here. Please note that the value on your Gift Card changes as we receive additional information about transactions you make with the Gift Card. As result, it is possible that the amount shown as available may change at any time.
