What if I don’t want to maintain archives for my entire organization? Can I start small and grow later?
Yes. Dell™ EMS Email Archive can be installed in as little as a day for any number of users. And unlike traditional archiving systems, EMS has a flexible retention policy management engine that can add users with unique retention policies at any time.

Does Dell EMS Email Archive require EMS Email Continuity?
No. Each service is often implemented independently, but when combined the benefits are greater than the sum of the parts. Together, a single copy of each email is stored for use in business continuity and archiving. Both systems are administered from a common Web-based console, helping to reduce system complexity and administrative headaches.

By replacing stored attachments with stubs (links) to their archived counterparts, EMS can dramatically reduce the amount of data stored in the primary system while still providing users with seamless access. You can also import .pst files into the archive, which can further remove storage from your infrastructure.

How does the storage management capability work?

Stubbed messages can be retrieved seamlessly from Microsoft Outlook, simply by clicking on the attachment name.
