Dell Learning Platform

Learning Platform

The move from a print to a digital society empowers educators to create teaching and learning experiences that were unimaginable a few years ago. With access to unprecedented levels of data and resources, instructors are finding new avenues for delivering individualized and blended learning, and for fostering collaboration between educators and students across the globe.

To fully realize these possibilities, educators need a platform that integrates core education applications, digital learning resources and actionable data using one interface.

The Dell Learning Platform for higher education, developed in collaboration with Intel, enables these capabilities. It provides a strong, extensible open-source framework for easily adding, removing and changing core education applications within a single environment.

The platform focuses on three foundational factors:

  • Data management: Integration of data and metadata from disparate learning applications gives educators a comprehensive, report-driven view of educational efforts and lets them develop meaningful predictive analytics.
  • Interoperability: Multiple learning tools and services and single sign-on methodologies help ensure a seamless experience and management ease. Dell Services provides application and end-user support.
  • Security and compliance: Access to learning applications and data is controlled in Dell data centers that support educational governance, security and compliance requirements. Institutions also can use a Dell private cloud environment.
