Promote an inclusive university with Dell's Assistive Technology Services

Assistive technology opens up the world for higher education students with disabilities. They gain greater independence, academic advancement and ability to participate in the university community.

Many students can benefit from the use of assistive technology. Universities that provide access to lecture capture and curriculum management, for example, can reduce the risk of losing students who are struggling in their coursework.

But the diverse range of available technologies — such as text-to-speech software, audio note-taking solutions, magnifying screens, switches, and tablets and laptops powered by Intel® Core™ i5 and i7 vPro™ processors — is complex. Choosing the right ones to meet the educational needs of each student can be challenging, for either the student looking for help or for your college’s office of student services.

Dell, in collaboration with Intel, provides access to, integration with and support for assistive solutions.
  • Access: The Dell Assistive Technology Configuration Tool, developed by Dell and Electronic Vision Access Solutions (EVAS), helps select best-in-class software and hardware aligned to the needs of students.
  • Integration: The team will install, configure and test assistive technology hardware, software and peripherals. This integration ensures that the solution is ready to use right out of the box.
  • Support: Our AT support staff and system engineers are available weekdays, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. ET via a dedicated toll-free service and have access to all assistive technology device specifications.
With our diverse, select group of assistive technology partners, Dell is your single source for all of your assistive technology needs. Working with Dell, you can ensure students with specialized learning needs are empowered to achieve their full potential.
