Dell today announced the continued expansion of its collaboration with Google with the launch of the Dell Chromebook 13, a premium 13.3-inch professional Chromebook solution. Designed for today’s on-the-go lifestyle, the Dell Chromebook 13 offers class-leading performance from up to 5th generation Intel® Core™ i5 processors, an ultra-sleek design, stunning display and up to 12 hours of battery life. Along with powering businesses with the speed and simplicity of Chrome for Work, the Chromebook provides customers with manageability and security software and applications, which allow it to fit seamlessly into any professional computing environment. The Dell Chromebook 13 joins Dell’s Chrome portfolio and further showcases the commitment Dell and Google have made to developing innovative and flexible solutions to meet the evolving needs of the mobile workforce.

The latest Dell Chromebook offers options for performance, speed and mobility, thanks to Intel Celeron, Core i3 and i5 processors with up to 8GB of system memory, and up to 12 hour battery life allowing for all business day productivity while on the move. With seamless connectivity, fast boot time and high performance, users can be fully productive wherever they are. People are able to collaborate seamlessly with a 720p HD video webcam, a Full High Definition IPS display and dual array microphones all designed to integrate with Google Hangouts.

Secure, Manageable and Reliable
The Dell Chromebook 13 allows customers to take advantage of Dell’s leading manageability, security and desktop virtualization solutions. The Chromebook is supported by Dell’s unique IP from Dell KACE, providing inventory management and service desk support. Additionally, Dell SonicWALL Mobile Connect (VPN) app, in combination with a Dell Secure Mobile Access appliance or next-generation firewall, provides secure access to authorized company resources, access reporting and tracking. Optional Content Filter subscription services available with Dell firewalls provide URL filtering and browser protection. Dell Wyse vWorkspace desktop virtualization software, a central part of the Dell Appliance for Wyse – vWorkspace solution, enables organizations to seamlessly and securely access Windows applications on the new Chromebook 13 via the vWorkspace Connector for Chrome OS (available in the Chrome Web Store). The Chromebook 13 offers Google’s cloud-based management console to simplify deployment, and centrally manage, update and track systems.
