Continuing a History of Innovation, Dell/EMC CX4 Series Enhances Flexibility, Enterprise Performance and Management Options Now available with 10Gbit iSCSI connectivity and drive spin-down
Since their launch in August of 2008, the Dell/EMC CX4 storage arrays have added to the CX reputation of flexibility, ease-of-use, and innovation. This tradition continues with the announcement of additional features for the CX4 series that are designed to help you optimize your storage environment. The arrays now support both 10Gbit iSCSI and 8Gbit Fibre Channel connectivity on the same array, so that you can utilize the Enterprise-level networking option that best meets your needs. In addition, drive spin down is included with the array to help you better manage your power and cooling requirements and cost. Lastly, new enhancements to virtual provisioning and storage management in virtualized server environments have been added to help you reduce hardware costs and management time and effort.
Now users in multiprotocol environments can share files easily and efficiently. The Dell NX4 offers advanced file management for Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments, plus the flexibility to support stranded application servers via 10Gbit iSCSI or 4Gbit Fibre Channel.
