Symptoms

This article decribes an issue where the incorrect page is printed when you select the 'current page' option when initiating a print of a preview page item in the Edge browser of Windows 10 Redstone 3 systems.

Last page printed

Windows 10 Redstone 3 systems may not print the desired page when you select to print the "Current Page" in the preview window using the Edge Browser.

Steps to reproduce this issue:

  1. Connect to the Internet, then open a webpage via Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click 'Settings and more' -> select 'Print' in the menu -> Preview all the pages from first one to last page in right Preview window
  3. Go back to the page that you decide to print
  4. Choose "Current page" item in pull down list in Pages
  5. The printed page will be the last page rather than the the current page.

This issue is caused by Edge’s print dialog not getting the correct page number event when you preview or select different pages.

Solution

The solution for this issue was included as part of the Redstone release. Update Windows to resolve.

Workaround

If Windows cannot be updated, follow these steps:

  1. Close the Edge browser or start another browser window.
  2. Navigate to the page you need to print directly (instead of previewing all pages and going back to the desired page to print), and select "Current Page" to print.
