Dell Aero Reset, Backup, and Restore Guide

Issue 1: Performing a Master Reset
  1. Touch Settings and in the Phone basics section choose Master clear & reset.
  2. To erase all user settings while leaving your stored data intact, touch Master reset.
  3. You will be asked to input a password. If you have not changed the password, the default password is '1234'.
  4. Touch OK to proceed with resetting the phone to factory state and restarting the phone.

Issue 2: Performing a Master Clear
  1. Touch Settings and in the Phone basics section choose Master clear & reset.
  2. To erase all user settings and also erase your stored data on the microSD card, touch Master clear.
  3. You will be asked to input a password. If you have not changed the password, the default password is '1234'.
  4. Touch OK to proceed with erasing all data, resetting the phone to factory state, and restarting the phone.

Issue 3: Backing Up Data
  1. Touch the Backup icon on the Home screen and touch the Backup tab.
  2. Select the items you wish to backup from the list shown.
  3. Touch the Options icon and select To Storage Card.

    Note:
    If the phone is connected to the computer in USB Mass Storage (UMS) mode, backup cannot be performed to the microSD card. Disconnect the phone from the computer before proceeding to make a backup
  4. Input the name of the backup file and touch OK.
  5. When you see the message Backup is finished touch OK.

Issue 4: Restoring Data
  1. Touch the Backup icon on the Home screen and touch the Restore tab.
  2. Touch the source for the backup file to use.
  3. From the list of available backups select the one you wish to restore.
    Note:
    To delete a backup, touch and hold the backup file to be deleted and touch Delete. Touch OK on the confirmation message.
  4. Select the items you wish to restore from the list shown.
  5. Touch the Options icon and select Restore.
  6. Touch OK on the notice about data loss from the phone.
  7. Touch OK when you see the message Restore is finished!.
