Why is the fax quality low on the A960 All-In-One printer? - Product Support Quick Note (PSQN) - 177921




The default scan resolution for monochrome fax on the A960 printer offers the highest level of compatibility with receiving fax devices.

The default scan resolution on the A960 All-in-One printer for a monochrome fax is 100X100 pixels/inch. This setting offers the highest likelihood of compatibility with receiving devices, but at reduced quality.



Change the Fax Quality settings on the A960 All-In-One printer.

To change the fax quality settings on the A960 All-In-One printer, perform the following steps:

  1. On the printer, press the Fax button.

  2. Press the Quality button located near the lower left corner of the display, until the desired quality setting appears on the display.

  3. The available fax quality settings are:

    • Standard (100X100)

    • Default Fine (200X200)

    • Superfine (300X300)

    • Ultrafine (400X400)

  4. Press the Select button to save the desired fax quality setting.

  5. Press the Fax button.

  6. Press the Options button until Maintenance appears in the LCD display window.

  7. Press the Select button.

  8. Use the + or - button to scroll through the menu to locate Set Defaults.

  9. Press the Select button.

  10. Use the + or - button to scroll through the menu to locate Use Current.

  11. Press the Select button.
