This article provides information concerning the photo preview option no longer functioning on the Dell Venue 11 Pro.

Photo Preview Not Working on Venue 11 Pro

You may encounter an issue on your Dell Venue 11 Pro with Windows 8.1 where the photo preview for the Camera app is not working and the following error message is displayed: This file can't be opened. The file might be damaged.

To resolve this issue, please follow the instructions below:

1. Swipe from the right edge of the screen toward the screen's center to expose the Charms Bar.
2. Choose the Search option on the Charms Bar by tapping it, then type File Explorer into the empty Search box.

   

3. Tap File Explorer from the search list results to open it.
4. After opening File Explorer, tap the View menu option, near the top.

   

5. Double tap the Options button on the View menu.

   

6. The Folder Options window appears. Near the top of the window select the View tab.

   

7. Uncheck the option Always show icons, never thumbnails.

   

8. Choose Apply, and then select OK.

You should now be able to Preview photos.
