E1811- HDD ## Rbld Abrt is reported on the server LCD screen.


Answer

To resolve:

Check the Open Manage Server Administrator (OMSA) Alert Log for any alerts about the hard drives:
  • Target Drive Failed (2348 or 2349): Replace the hard drive.
  • Predictive Failure (2094) or SMART error: Replace the hard drive.
  • Source Drive Failed (2347): Attempt to force the failed source drive online to backup any important files or data. If all files are backed up, or the drive cannot be brought online, replace the failed hard drive, recreate the virtual disk, and then restore it from backups.

If OMSA is not installed, run the Dell Diagnostics Test to determine if a source or target drive has failed.
  • Target Drive Failed: Replace the hard drive.
  • Source Drive Failed:: Attempt to force the failed source drive online to backup any important files or data. If all files are backed up, or the drive cannot be brought online, replace the failed hard drive, recreate the virtual disk, and then restore it from backups.
