Windows 10 upgrade failure.

A small number of Dell system users have reported that their 7/8.1 systems encountered an upgrade failure with an error of: 0x80240020.

Run the Windows Update troubleshooter.

Working with Dell technical support, it was determined that running the Windows update troubleshooter in Windows 7/8.1 will resolve the issue and allow the Windows 10 upgrade to proceed successfully. (See Figure 1.)
