Uninstall the ATI Multimedia Center DAO
It is highly recommended that you uninstall the components in the order they appear below, and that you uninstall all of the components. Before attempting to uninstall any ATI Multimedia Center components, make sure all applications are closed. Failure to close other applications may result in an unsuccessful uninstallation process. NOTE:
To uninstall the DAO (Data Access Objects) element of the ATI Multimedia Center, perform the following steps.
Click the Start button.
The list of programs appears.
Click Control Panel.
The Windows Control Panel appears.
Click Add or Remove Programs.
The Add or Remove Programs window appears.
Click to select DAO.
A Change/Remove button appears.
Click the Change/Remove button.
An InstallShield Wizard window appears.
Click to select Remove.
Click the Next button.
A Confirm Uninstall window appears.
Click the OK button.
Another InstallShield Wizard window appears, advising "Maintenance Complete."
Click the Finish button.
The Add or Remove Programs window reappears.
Uninstall GuidePlus+(TM) for Windows System - ATI
To uninstall the GuidePlus+(TM) for Windows System element of the ATI Multimedia Center, perform the following steps.
Click to select GuidePlus+(TM) for Windows System - ATI.
A Change/Remove button appears.
Click the Change/Remove button.
A GuidePlus+(TM) for Windows System Setup window appears.
Click to select Remove.
Click the Next button.
A Confirm File Deletion window appears.
Click the OK button.
A Shared File Detected window appears.
Click Don''t display this message again.
Click No, I will restart my computer later.
Click the Finish button.
The Add or Remove Programs window reappears.
Uninstall ATI DVD Decoder 2.x.x.x
To uninstall the ATI DVD Decoder software, perform the following steps.
Click to select ATI DVD Decoder 2.x.x.x.
A Change/Remove button appears.
Click the Change/Remove button.
An InstallShield Wizard window appears.
Click to select Remove.
Click the Next button.
A Confirm Uninstall window appears.
Click the OK button.
Another InstallShield Wizard window appears, advising "Maintenance Complete."
Click the Finish button.
The Add or Remove Programs window reappears.
Uninstall ATI Multimedia Center 8.x.x.x
To uninstall the ATI Multimedia Center 8.x.x.x, perform the following steps.
Click to select ATI Multimedia Center 8.x.x.x.
A Change/Remove button appears.
Click the Change/Remove button.
An InstallShield Wizard window appears.
Click to select Remove.
Click the Next button.
A Confirm Uninstall window appears.
Click the OK button.
Another Confirm Uninstall window appears, asking if you wish to retain your custom settings.
Click the No button.
Another InstallShield Wizard window appears, advising "Maintenance Complete."
Click the Finish button.
The Add or Remove Programs window reappears.
Click the red X in the upper right corner of the Add or Remove Programs window to close the window.
Click the red X in the upper right corner of the Control Panel window to close the window.
Restart the system.
