This article explains how to reset a Dell Networking Wireless Access Point back to factory default.
 



Resetting Access Point

 
1.  ​Connect Ethernet cable with serial adapter from laptop to console port of the AP.
2.  Access the console with terminal emulation application (PUTTY, Hyper terminal) set to  Speed 9600, Data bits 8, Stop bits 1, Parity none, Flow control none.
3.  Power on AP.
4.  Press enter key to stop the autoboot process when option is presented.
5.  Type "Purge" and hit enter at the apboot> console prompt
6.  Type "Save" and hit enter at the apboot> console prompt
7.  Type "Reset" or "Reboot" to reload the AP.
 


 

Some models have a physical reset button on the device. In this case you can press and hold the button while the AP is powered on. When the power LED flashes then release the button. Once completed the AP will reboot again in a factory default state.
