Install the Drivers, Utilities, and Applications CD

NOTE:

If the Drivers, Utilities, and Applications CD has already been installed, go directly to the Install Dell Help and Support section.

1. Insert the Drivers, Utilities, and Applications CD in the CD drive.
   The ResourceCD Installation window appears.

2. Click the OK button.
   The Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard window appears.

3. Click the Next button.
   The InstallShield Wizard Complete window appears.

4. Click the Finish button.

Install Dell Help and Support

1. Insert the Drivers, Utilities, and Applications CD in the CD drive.
   The message Welcome Dell System Owner appears.

2. Click the Next button.
   The Search Criteria menu appears.

3. Click to select Inspiron 2600 from the System Model menu.

4. Click to select Windows XP from the Operating System menu.

5. Click to select Applications from the Topic menu.
   A list of available Applications appears.

6. Click to select Dell Help and Support Customizations.

7. Scroll down and click the Extract button.
   The Dell | Help and Support window appears.

8. Click the Continue button.
   The message Select the folder where you want to unzip the files to appears.

9. Click the OK button to accept the default directory C:\dell\Drivers\0P474\.
   The message Folder ''C:\dell\Drivers\0P474\'' does not exist. Do you want to create it? appears.

NOTE:

If the application has already been installed, the message Folder ''C:\dell\Drivers\0P474'' already exists. Do you want to overwrite it? appears. If so, click the Yes to All button.

10. Click the Yes button.
    The message All files were successfully unzipped appears.

11. Click the OK button.
    The Help and Support Customizations-InstallShield Wizard window appears.

12. Click the Next button.
    The message License Agreement appears.

13. Click to select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click the Next button.
    The message Customer Information appears.

14. Input your personal information.

15. Click to select Anyone who uses this computer(all users).

16. Click the Next button.
    The message Ready to Install the Program appears.

17. Click the Install button.
    The message InstallShield Wizard Completed appears.

18. Click the Finish button.

Dell Help and Support is now completely installed on your computer.
