How do I resolve the message "Invalid user name and password" when accessing Dellnet™ email?




Reconfigure your DellNet™ account information

If you receive an invalid user name and password message for email logon, the software will need to be reconfigured. If the software is not correctly configured, you will need to download the .ins file to reconfigure the client.

To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Programs, then Dellnet, and choose Dellnet Administration.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Click Next again.
  4. Click Connect.
    NOTE: If your system is a WebPC™, it will connect automatically.
  5. Choose Make My Changes Take Effect by clicking on it.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Enter your Challenge Phrase answer.
  8. Click Next.
  9. Click the Click To Make Changes Take Effect button.
  10. Click Ok.
    NOTE: If your system is a WebPC, click Finish.

Outlook® Express will now be configured correctly to access your email.
