This article provides information on the error message: "Invalid value for 103".
Affected Products:
Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition v7.x - 8.0
Dell Data Protection | Encryption v7.x and older
The Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition version 7.x - 8.0 and earlier policies are sent whenever a endpoint polls the server for a new policy. The value 103 is a server policy statement requesting the "Administrator Password" for the endpoint local console for version 7.x and earlier. The error message will appear because the Shield for Windows version 8.x and newer no longer require this policy element and does not have a reference for the policy value 103.
After the Shield for Windows version 7.x is upgraded to version 8.0, it will poll the Dell Data Protection | Enterprise Edition server for its first policy. The "Invalid value for 103" message may display and the log entry below can be found in the wrapper log.
