Dell has shipped Venue 11 Pro tablets with LCD and touch panels from multiple vendors. As a result, Dell has released several different touch firmware patches for these panels.
A recent panel change was determined not to be compatible with older touch firmware patches, so a universal firmware was created to work with all panels. Unfortunately, the older touch firmware patches that some customers had previously downloaded are not compatible with the newer panel.
It is especially important to device users that use an imaging process to ensure that the most current drivers and especially the touch panel firmware update are incorporated into any images prior to imaging the device. All users should be advised to delete any older touch firmware patches and only use the version below, which is compatible with all panel variants.
Dell Venue 11 Pro 7130 and 7139 Sharp / Samsung Touch Panel Firmware Patch Version v1.0.5.100, A01 was the current firmware as of 11 September 2015.
If an older panel firmware is flashed onto a newer system, the user may notice failure to complete the Power On Self-Test (POST).

If you can still interact with the system (even with an external mouse and/or keyboard), you should be able to resolve the issue by flashing the universal firmware above.
Systems in a No POST state should be returned to the service depot to be recovered.
