Blank screen on tv

Waking a Dell Dimension system with an Nvidia GeForce4 MX 420 graphics card may display a blank screen on the TV.

Monitor Time out

When a monitor timeout event occurs with TV-Out enabled, upon waking the system, the TV out signal is no longer present. This has only been seen with the (A00, v2.8.4.1) version of drivers, whether the TV-Out feature is set to clone or extended mode.

Download Nvidia GeForce4 MX420 driver

Nvidia and Dell engineering have developed a new set of graphics drivers (A02, v3.0.8.2) to correct this issue. They can be downloaded from Dell Support, the filename is R50582.EXE.
