This article describes how to connect the XPS 10 to Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth devices, or external monitors.

Issue 1: How to Connect to a Wi-Fi Network

1. Open the charms (swipe from the right edge or mouse to a right-hand corner) and select Settings.
2. Select the Available icon.
3. Choose your preferred network from the displayed list.
4. Select Connect.
5. Type the network security key if prompted.

Issue 2: Managing Bluetooth Connections

To search and add Bluetooth devices:

1. Launch Settings from the charms and select Change PC Settings.
2. Under PC Settings, select Devices.
3. Click Add a device to search for available Bluetooth devices.
4. Click the Bluetooth device to add.

How to display Bluetooth devices:

1. On the Start screen, any Bluetooth devices you have connected in the past and pinned to the Start screen will be shown as tiles.
2. To see all previously connected Bluetooth devices including those which were unpinned from the Start screen, go to All apps. The devices are listed under Bluetooth Devices.

How to remove a Bluetooth device from your tablet:

1. Launch the Settings charm and select Change PC Settings.
2. Under PC Settings, select Devices.
3. On the right pane, click the device you wish to remove.
4. Click the (-) sign and select Remove.

How to remove a Bluetooth device from the Start Screen:

1. Go to the Start screen and right-click the desired Bluetooth device.
2. Select Unpin from Start to remove the tile from the Start Screen.

How to transfer files between Bluetooth devices:

1. Launch the Start screen and select your Bluetooth device.
2. Select Send File and select the files you wish to transfer.

How to turn on or turn off Bluetooth:

1. Launch the Settings charm and select Change PC Settings.
2. Select Wireless from the left pane.
3. Under the Wireless devices option, move the Bluetooth slider to turn it off. Move the slider again to turn it on.

Issue 3: Connecting the XPS 10 to an External Monitor

1. Connect the Mini-HDMI out connector on the keyboard dock to a compatible monitor using the Mini-HDMI to HDMI cable.
2. Launch charms and select Devices.
3. Select Second Screen.
4. Select the desired display sharing option.
